About Us
Nestled in the Strzelecki ranges of South Gippsland, djinta djinta Winery is a 34 acre property in the heart of the Australian mainland’s southernmost wine making region.
The name djinta djinta – which is the indigenous name for the distinctive sound the Willy Wagtail makes, was adopted in 1991. We are passionate about wine and set ourselves a high standard in both grape growing and winemaking and are proud of every bottle bearing our Willy Wagtail logo.
Chosen for the quality of the brown and grey loam soils on east and north facing slopes, the vineyard produces the finest quality fruit without the aid of irrigation.
The cool South Gippsland climate with its long sunny autumns results in small yields of approximately 2 tonnes/acre creating wines with a great depth of flavour.
djinta djinta Winery, deVine Receptions and The Grazing Room is a multifunction venue well suited to weddings, functions and events with a personalised package designed to meet your individual requirements.
